Dummy — the Los Angeles band comprised of Alex Ewell, Emma Maatman, Nathan O’Dell, and Joe Trainor — announces its new album, Free Energy, out September 6th on Trouble In Mind Records, and shares the lead single/video, “Nullspace.” Pop has always been a big part of Dummy’s sound, but it manifests differently on Free Energy. Sometimes it’s quite literal (and funny), such as the bubbly synth sequence made with a Korg EM1 popping all over lead single “Nullspace,” which features a melody written by O’Dell and is the song the band calls the record’s “sonic mission statement and really influenced by Mark Van Hoen, especially the cut-up dreamy dance-pop he was making on the Locust record Morning Light.”

Early Moods: The Los Angeles area quartet burst onto the scene fully formed with a sound that somehow simultaneously merged gritty underground Street Doom with slick “big box” Heavy Metal melodies on their self-titled RidingEasy debut album in 2022. And it’s the band’s highly skilled musicianship paired with exquisite aesthetic taste — in addition to their killer live show — that has made them an immediate popular favorite.

Early Moods was founded in 2015 by Andrade and vocalist/keyboardist Alberto Alcaraz after a few years of playing in thrash and death metal projects before the two realized that the classic doom that they’d grown up with was what they really wanted to explore. Going through a few lineup changes while delving deeper into the diverging influences that were calling, Early Moods arrived at the sound and lineup that grew their fanbase locally. The band released their debut EP Spellbound in 2020 on German label Dying Victim Productions, followed by their self-titled debut full length on RidingEasy Records in 2023. Early Moods is Oscar Hernandez on lead guitar, Chris Flores on drums, Elix Felciano on bass, Alcaraz on vocals/synth and Andrade on guitar.

Mistress 2025.jpg

4/18/2025

Mistress of Reality is the  World's 1st & Only All-Female Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne Tribute from Los Angeles, CA.

Twenty years ago, when the world was a very different place, the original founding members of Mistress of Reality came together as the first women to celebrate The Godfathers of Heavy Metal, Black Sabbath. That was during the summer of 2003.

Known as the dark Goddesses of the tribute scene these 4 talented ladies toured both the US and Europe for more than 2 decades. They channel the music’s heavy rumble and back it with the pure rock solid leaded loudness that became Black Sabbath trademark sound.

In recent years the band has also taken on the name Madame Ozzy and released their 3 song EP on multiple platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Madame Ozzy was honored with an interview on the BBC News during Black Sabbath final farewell concert in Birmingham England.

The ladies pay tribute to both Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osborne’s solo career. They perform his classic hits such as Crazy Train, I Don’t Know and Mr. Crowley. A Mistress of Reality show promises to deliver a big Rock arena feel with the energy of true “Girl Power” that will have everyone on their feet!

::Flossless Proudly Presents::

Since bursting forth from the cosmic ether in 2014, Seattle's Xoth (pronounced ZOTH) has evoked fan and critical acclaim for their innovative approach to extreme metal. 2019's Interdimensional Invocations has become a cult classic, blending technical death metal, black metal, and thrash in a novel synthesis that eludes categorization.

In partnership with Dawnbreed Records, their third triumph Exogalactic is an ambitious leap forward. It's as if they've excavated musical relics from Earth's core and melded them with sounds from the far reaches of the universe. Each song is an event horizon, stirring subgenres into a timewarp of past and future sonic chaos.

Amidst the vortex of sound, the mixing sorcery of Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studio (Obituary, Suffocation) manifests an auditory odyssey and the artwork of Shindy Reehal at Shindy Design sets the tone for the voyage. Xoth is not just music; it's a journey across the celestial landscape led by interstellar luminaries.

"Through four years of trials and tribulations, we are thrilled to finally unleash an album that has demanded immense dedication, fortitude, and sacrifice. The results of our experiment have surpassed our wildest imagination!"

RIPPED TO SHREDS return with their highly anticipated new album, Sanshi. The band explodes out of the underground with all the blood-soaked hallmarks of the hellacious RIPPED TO SHREDS sound - an onslaught of frenetic dueling solos, blasting drums, and van Drunen-esque vocals that further fuse the grit and grime of old school Death Metal and Grind with the here and now. Helmed by guitarist and frontman Andrew Lee, RIPPED TO SHREDS are as fierce and focused as they've ever been. Conceptually, Sanshi sees the band dig into a morbid fixation on death and the afterlife in the context of traditional Chinese folklore. Tracks like the lead single “Perverting the Funeral Rites,” is a song inspired by obscure funeral rites in Taiwan, wherein exotic dancers perform lithe rituals for living and dead alike. Elsewhere, “Force Fed” delves into the legend of Meng Po’s "Elixir of Forgetfulness", which when drunk by the dead wipes their memories clean before they are reborn into their next incarnation. “Living In Effigy” was inspired by real life tales of photographers traversing remote rural China, taking funeral portraits of the elderly who died in solitude. Sanshi's cover art comes courtesy of Lee’s long-term collaborator, artist Guang Yang, and depicts a scene of Yan Luo Wang, The God of Hell, and the dead who must face his judgment in his demonic court.

Dreadnought: At its inception in 2012, Dreadnought’s four original members, including guitarist/vocalist Kelly Schilling, drummer Jordan Clancy, bassist Kevin Handlon, and keyboardist/vocalist Lauren Vieira, strove for a project laser-focused on creativity and exploration, pulling from all aspects of their musical backgrounds to craft something exciting and unique. Joining in the common ground of extreme metal, the quartet explores a blend of prog, doom, folk, jazz, classical, black metal, and post rock. Now a quintet, Dreadnought sees its live potential in full form with the addition of second guitarist Ryan Sims and keyboardist/vocalist Emily Shreve replacing Vieira.

Thematically, “The Endless” departs from the familiar abstract of Dreadnought’s first four albums and dives into a relatable character arc about the human divide of light and suffering. It is an overture to the complexities of the proliferation of life, exploring the trail of choices that shape our world and our lives. It invites the question, can we overcome our nature and make higher minded choices to better humanity and our planet? Or are we lost in a never ending cycle of shadow?

Witching: Philadelphia's blackened sludge quintet, WITCHING, self-released their first full-length album, VERNAL, on June 5, 2020. The band has had the honor of sharing the stage with Immortal Bird, Inter Arma, Sunrot, Imperial Triumphant, Primitive Man, The Silver, Woe, Bell Witch,
Conan, Filth Is Eternal, Vastum, + more.

Formed in 2009, Blistered Earth set out to become the definitive tribute to Metallica and have spent the last decade doing exactly that. Hailing from Spokane, Washington, the band hasn’t allowed the lack of proximity to big markets slow them down and have built a hardcore and dedicated following by doing exactly what Metallica themselves have done: taking the music to the people.

With just shy of 1,000 shows to their credit, Blistered Earth have proven to be one of the hardest working bands in the business, headlining venues all across the western United States and Canada from British Columbia to Arizona, Western Washington to eastern Montana, and all points in between.

In 2016, the band suffered a major setback when the trailer containing all of their gear was stolen while on tour. In an unprecedented turn of events, news of the theft made its way to none other than Metallica’s James Hetfield and he, along with the other members of Metallica, not only made arrangements to have the gear replaced, but were gracious enough to provide Blistered Earth the actual gear from their previous tour.

Blistered Earth is the ultimate tribute to Metallica!

LOVING at John Henry's

On their new album Any Light, Loving share a set of songs born from moments of serendipitous inspiration: a spontaneously composed poem, a long-forgotten voice memo, an uncannily pertinent book unearthed in their studio space. The British Columbia-based musicians Jesse Henderson and David Parry brought these songs to life by surrendering to a prolonged process of free-flowing experimentation, often dreaming up several entirely distinct iterations of a track before deciding on a final version. Through all that unhurried exploration, Loving arrived at a body of work that invites a similar sense of charmed receptivity, even as its songs examine such complex matters as romantic love, depression, existential uncertainty, and the psychic consequences of living in an increasingly digitized world.

Any Light took shape at Risque Disque studio on Vancouver Island, with Loving greatly expanding their sonic vocabulary and repertoire. Produced by the duo and mixed, mastered, and engineered by Parry, the 10-song project encompasses a far more elaborate sound than its predecessor, layering its lush arrangements with trumpet, timpani, vibraphone, strings, and organ—all new sonic territory for the band. Despite diverging from the finespun indie-folk of their past work, Loving imbue every song with the poetic introspection first shown on their 2016 debut EP, as well as the disarmingly warm presence they’ve brought to the stage in touring with the likes of Tennis and Alice Phoebe Lou.
